Q&A Questions for CISON FG-VT157 15.7cc V-twin V2 Engine | Stirlingkit

1. How to diagonise the issue of hall sensor or the CDI?

Use teezers or clips for the wire of the CDI igniter and touch the black and white wire of the Hall sensor. Second, remove the wiring heads of the igniter and the Hall sensor, and then take the wire of the Hall sensor to short-contact the black and white wires to see if there are any sparks.
If there is a spark, it is a problem with the Hall sensor. Replace the Hall sensor. You can contact us and we will resend it to you.

2. Why my hall sensor burnt out?

There are three reasons for the Hall to burn out, the voltage is too high, the wiring is wrong, and the power is plugged in.

Please checking the wiring diagram and add a resistor to protect the hall sensor since the space inside the Shovelhead v-twin engine model is smaller than other engine models. The hasll sensor may burn out if it is not connected depending on the feedback.

The resistor is connected in series between the high-voltage line and the resistor, and the resistor is placed inside the high-voltage cap.

1) No need to drip any of the wire covering before inserting the boot?

Yes, You don’t need to do that, just plug it in tightly. If it’s loose, you can put a small rubber ring on it.

2) Can you send pictures of where the resistors would go?

The high-voltage electricity interferes with the Hall sensor, causing misjudgment and punishment without affecting the operation. If you are troubled by this problem, you can use the resistors carried with the CDI in series as shown in the figure.

Pay attention to the distance between the magnet wheel and the hall sensor, increase the gap since the hall sensor needs to stay away from all metal parts. If the gap is too small, it may eaily get burnt as well.

The wirting dirgram of Shovelhead v-twin engine model is basically same with the Panhead one. Just take extra care of the resistors above.

CISON is trying new hall sensor and other ignition methods to solve the problem of hall sensor use life. If there is any news, we will update the blog in itme.

At present, pay more attention to put the two small resistors and the hall sensor in the wiring so that the hall sensor does not touch the metal item, and the hall sensor will basically not be damaged.

3. How to reinstall the hall sensor?

First remove the nut, then use pliers to take off the trigger with two magnets. Then remove the Hall sensor, and finally replace it. You could figure it out as soon as you unscrewed the nut, it is not complicated.

Update later.
