Mach3RC: NEW Easy to Fly Yu Xiang Bell206 RC Helicopter! | Stirlingkit

Hey guys, it's been helicopter mayhem around here, and I’ve been having an absolute blast! So, today, I’ve got the new Yuang Bell 206 that I picked up from Stirlingkit. Now, I’ve already flown the Huey, which was awesome, and this Bell 206 is pretty much the same thing but with a different body. Let me tell you, it looks super cool! The scale details are amazing, and honestly, Yuang just nailed it with the design. I’m really impressed with how these look for the price.

I’ve already had the chance to fly the Huey, and I’ve been flying the Bell 206 around a little bit. I’ve been testing it in my yard, and I can confidently say, I’m seriously impressed by these helicopters. So, let’s get this one in the air, take a closer look, and maybe even dabble in manual mode! I haven’t tried that yet, I’ve just been flying in stabilization mode, which works absolutely fantastic. But let’s see how it goes.

Starting it up is super easy. First, we turn on the transmitter that came with it. Then, we press the button on the bottom and hold it for a second, making sure it’s level while it connects. Boom, green light’s on, and we’re good to go.

Alright, let's get it off the ground! It’s a bit of a rainy day, but I think the lights on this thing will look cool in the cloudy sky. So, to unlock the rotors, we hold down left and then right. There we go, it’s fired up—couldn't be easier! Let’s get this bird in the air.

It takes off super smooth, and I have to say, I’m really impressed. It’s not the biggest helicopter, but compared to the tiny micro ones I’ve flown, it’s a nice size. I’ve got the confidence to fly it around my yard, no problem, and it handles so well. When I let go of the sticks, it just settles down. It’s super manageable, and even with a little wind, it holds its position pretty well. It’s crazy how stable this thing is.

And let me tell you, as I’ve been flying these more, I’ve definitely been getting a bit bolder with my moves. But, just to clarify, I’m still in stabilization mode with the Six-axis gyro and brushless motors—it’s smooth, stable, and runs like a charm.

Look, I’m not trying to sell you one, but if you’re in the market for an RC helicopter, especially if you're new to the hobby and a little nervous, I honestly think these Yuang models are the best you can get for the price. They’re the perfect gateway into helicopters. Seriously, these helicopters are so good, especially with the optical flow sensor. It's incredible.

Alright, I’m going to take it higher now and maybe try manual mode. I’ve never tried that before, so let’s see how it goes. I’ll switch it up and see what happens.

Switching to manual... Okay, it doesn't feel quite like I expected. It seems like in manual mode, the optical flow sensor is turned off, and I can fly higher. But it doesn’t really seem like manual mode in the way I thought it would. I thought I’d be able to do more crazy stunts, like flipping it over. But let's see...

Trying inverted flight... Okay, I haven’t tried inverted flight yet, and I’m not sure I’m high enough for it. We’ve got a little bit of drift because of the wind, but let’s try this. I’ll keep playing with the switches and see if I can get it right. Oh, here we go—getting it inverted! It's working now! This is actually pretty cool.

When it’s inverted, the controls are the same—pressing down makes it go down, and pressing up makes it go up, so it’s easier to fly inverted without having to switch up controls. That’s pretty neat. Now, let’s see if I can flip it back over... and yup, I got it! Back to right-side up. Man, that was fun. It gets a little windy up here, but the helicopter’s holding up great.

Alright, so now that I’ve been playing around with it a bit, I think I’ve got a better understanding of how manual mode works. It’s really about turning off the optical flow sensor, allowing you to fly higher, but still having the gyro to keep things stable. It’s not like a full 3D helicopter where you can do flips and rolls, but it’s definitely a step up from just the stabilization mode.

So, if you’re getting into RC helicopters, I definitely recommend trying one of these Yuang models. It’s a great way to learn basic orientation and flying without feeling overwhelmed. It won’t teach you how to be a helicopter pro, but it’s a fantastic starting point.

Landing it now—I’m going to try to land near this manhole cover. It’s got an auto-landing feature (not return to home, though), so let’s see how that works. And boom, right on the mark! The rotors are locked, and we're down safely.
